Château Le Crock Saint-Estèphe 2019, Bordeaux, France

Year after year, each vintage is different. However, the 2019 vintage forms part of an exceptional solar trilogy: 2018-2019-2020. In fact, 2019 was registered as one of the hottest years of the decade. After a mild, dry winter, spring was cool and damp. Lovely weather returned with a progressive rise in temperatures, continuing the growing season on a promising note. The month of September was very sunny, encouraging optimal ripeness for each plot of vines. These ideal conditions allowed us to begin the harvest serenely, working with great precision. 2019 turns out to be the perfect meeting point between elegance and gourmandise. Blend: 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot. Soils: Garonnaises gravel, sandy-clay subsoil. Tasting: A great nose of darker plums, currants, cedary spice, and tobacco. This carries to a medium to full-bodied. Reasonably structured, impeccably balanced Saint-Estephe with solid mid-palate depth, beautiful tannins, and outstanding length.
