Rombauer Pinot Noir 2021, Santa Lucia Highlands, California

When Koerner and Joan Rombauer moved their family to Napa Valley in 1972, they were seeking an agricultural community where they could put down roots. Now, with the involvement of the second and third generations, Rombauer Vineyards is still family-owned and committed to those communities almost 50 years later. 100% Pinot Noir, aged 10 months in French oak barrels (30% new). Tasting notes: Aromas of plum, cherry, and crushed cranberry are lifted and concentrated on the nose, complemented by light lavender notes and hints of spice. Rich and silky, with vibrant red fruit flavors, subtle notes of earthiness, and warm spice all finding expression in this beautifully balanced wine. The finish builds on the back palate, a signature of all Rombauer wines.
