Rombauer Zinfandel 2021, 750ml, California

The Rombauer family has over 30 years of winemaking experience in the Napa Valley and is dedicated to family, land, and community. 2021 vintage: This wine blends lots from select vineyards in top growing regions: El Dorado (25%), Amador County (50%), Lake County (20%), Napa County (5%). The grapes were carefully destemmed and optically sorted to ensure only perfect fruit made it into the wine. A cold soak extracted color and flavor before primary fermentation began in tank. The wine was gently basket-pressed, then racked to oak barrels to finish primary fermentation, malolactic fermentation and aging. Tasting notes: Aromas of raspberry, cherry, and cranberry mingle with notes of dried herbs and flowers. The palate is full of concentrated red berries, spice, and licorice flavors with a juicy mid palate framed by fine tannins. The finish is long, silky, and full of flavor. 94% Zinfandel, 6% Petite Sirah. Cooperage: 14 months in American (10% new) and French oak.
