Neboa Albarino 2022, DO Rias Baixas, Spain

Located in the northwest Spanish peninsula, Rias Baixas is best known for its extraordinary wines made from the Albarino variety. It is here the Atlantic Ocean makes inroads into the land amidst legendary forests to form the ‘Rias Baixas’. Weather here is very special, with mild winters and a lot of rain (600 -1600 mm per year), which continues through early spring. Summer is the driest season in this area bringing very mild temperatures. Soils are very poor in nutrients, with high acidity content on a variety of terrains including sand, granite and slate. Neboa is a custom cuvee made by Bodegas Eidosela in the Condado do Tea subregion of Rias Baixas. “Musky, mineral-accented aromas of pear and nectarine, with a floral nuance gaining power with air. Taut and nervy on entry, then fleshier in the middle, offering juicy orchard and citrus fruit flavors and a hint of bitter quinine. Closes on a spicy note, with lively mineral cut and an echo of white flowers.
