With vineyards planted between 1,700 and 2,500 meters above sea level, Cafayate is one of the highest terroirs in the world. The height and the thermal amplitude that it generates (hot days and cold nights) are the elements that most influence the growth of the vine and the unique character of its fruits. Harvesting by hand from our own estate that houses a diverse range of micro terroirs, grapes are lovingly transported in 20-kg boxes to the winery, where they undergo a double selection process, using gravity to maintain their maximum purity. By uniting micro terroirs, this special climate, a fully sustainable philosophy and our winemaking expertise, our wines boast a unique identity of the valley that we so adore. For indigenous communities, Amauta was a teacher and wise man. Our wines prove it’s possible to understand nature’s provisions by applying wisdom to a humble vision. 100% Tannat. Tasting notes: color: Intense ruby red with violet and black notes on the outline. Aroma: Spices with notes of eucalipt, dark fruits like figs and mentol. Palate: Intense and sweet entry due to the ripe tannins. Medium high structure with balanced acidity and long final. It is an intense wine with freshness and complexity.
