Résonance Pinot Noir 2022, Willamette Valley, Oregon

The Willamette Valley Pinot Noir from Résonance is sourced from both estate vineyards and top vineyards in the Willamette Valley. The wine showcases the absolute best of the Willamette Valley, and elegantly blends Maison Louis Jadot’s winemaking with the Willamette Valley’s signature terroir. Harvest: The winter 2021-2022 was relatively warm until an April snow and frost in Yamhill-Carlton. The spring stayed cold and wet which was helpful as it delayed the growing season as the vines recovered. The summer provided ample warmth, with dry conditions, and a warm September, gave unique conditions for the ripening period. In the Yamhill-Carlton vineyards, the clusters were small, with dark color and high concentration and a low yield. All vineyards were picked before the rain started. In Decouverte and Koosah vineyards, the yields were higher, with fruits perfectly balanced between sugar concentration and acidity level. From the first days of maceration, the Pinot noir revealed expressive and fruity aromas, with amazing color and purity in mouth. Tasting notes: A beautiful bright ruby color for this expressive wine, with aromas of blueberry, raspberry, orange peel, rose, lavender, black pepper and morel mushroom. The palate is generous, fresh and fruity, and the tannins are well balanced by a pleasant acidity. 100% Pinot Noir. Aged 15 months in French oak, 30% new.
