Resonance Estate Pinot Noir Founder’s Block 2021, Yamhill-Carlton. Oregon

This Estate-Grown Single Vineyard Pinot Noir is the signature expression of our Résonance Vineyard. Sourced from 20 acres of organically dry-farmed Pinot noir on south-facing slopes in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, these vines benefit from some of the choicest vineyard land in Oregon wine country. Tasting notes: Notes of blackberry, violet, and sous bois emanate from the glass. The aromas continue generously on the palate with deep pure fruit and savory accentuations. The finish is long and aromatic, framed by polished tannins and spriteful acidity. Vintage notes: In 2021 a late cool spring was contrasted by record heat in June. Fortunately, a warm and dry summer evened-out the dynamic start to the growing season, with high quality fruit in small clusters. We harvested Pinot noir from September 9th to September 23rd. In all our vineyards the fruit was ripe and very clean. The wines display beautiful color, complex aromas and distinct freshness. With such quality, we were able to push the maceration time, revealing concentration and well balanced wines. Tasting note: The nose is complex, with blackberry, lilac, black pepper, tobacco leaf, forest floor and noble wood fragrance. The palate reveals an elegant balance of ripe tannins, black fruits, vibrant minerality and long finish.
