Poderi Luigi Einaudi Barolo DOCG Ludo 2019, Piedmont, Italy

The 13 farmhouses that make up the Poderi Luigi Einaudi lie in the crus that have been recognized historically as the best of the Langhe region in terms of exposure, position and the quality of the terrains, for a total of 150 hectares of land, of which 70 are used for the production of the wines. The Barolo DOCG Ludo is the classic Barolo, produced with the grapes of Nebbiolo that come from the young estates that are in the area of production of the Denomination. A wine of great class, with a brilliant red color slightly amber with time, exuberant in its fragrance of fruit and spices, of great body, full and velvety with a long final taste of goudron and spices. The tannic characteristics guarantee a long life in bottle in the best vintages, also 20 years. Fermented in steel and concrete tanks under strict Temperature control (30 degrees C – 32 degrees C), post-fermentation maceration, racked after 22/25 days, decanted, and by maintaining the right temperature malolactic process is induced. A long period of permanence in wood, thereafter a period in bottle to complete the aging. Tasting notes: A high-class wine, with a brilliant garnet red color to which time gives slight amber tones, exuberant in the aromas of fruit and spices, full-bodied, full and velvety flavor, with a long fi nish of goudron and spices. The characteristic tannicity ensures long-lasting in the bottle.
