Domaine Borgeot Santenay 1er Cru La Comme 2021, Burgundy, France

Domaine Borgeot is situated in the Côte de Beaune village of Rémigny. Created in 1903, it is run by brothers, Laurent and Pascal Borgeot, who are the fourth generation of their family to manage this domaine. The estate comprises 23 hectares of sustainably farmed vineyards in Bouzeron, Santenay, Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet. Laurent and Pascal also own significant vineyard holdings in the village of Santenay, from which they produce several wines. The range includes a Santenay Blanc ‘Clos de la Comme Dessous’, which displays a core of expressive yellow stone fruit, and a Santenay Premier Cru ‘La Comme’ which has greater texture and marked salinity. Remigny is a village of 420 inhabitants, four kilometres south of Chassagne-Montrachet and three kilometres east of Santenay. The Canal du Centre cuts through the village and just south of the village is the top of the Côte Chalonnaise, with Bouzeron, Rully, Mercurey, Givry and Montagny.
