Chateau de Chamilly Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2021, Burgundy, France

Chateau de Chamilly stands in the heart of a green valley situated to the north of the Cote Chalonnaise, 20 minutes south of Beaune. The Desfontaine family bought it, along with the surrounding land, at the beginning of the 19th century. Taken with the buildings, the land and the incomparable lifestyle, the Desfontaine family continually restore and develop the surroundings. After a manual harvest, the grapes are carefully sorted in order to get the most out of each vintage. All our reds and some of our whites are aged for 18 months. 12 in French oak barrels, then 6 in mass before bottling. The percentage of new barrels varies according to the richness of each wine so that its character can fully express itself!
