Trimbach Gewurztraminer Cuvee des Seigneurs de Ribeaupierre 2013, Alsace, France

For 13 generations, Maison Trimbach in Ribeauvillé, in the heart of Alsace, has devoted all its resources to producing great Alsace wines. The predominantly Keuper marl-limestone soils on which it is produced give this rare wine a full and powerful style. Made from old vines from the former wine estate of the Lords of Ribeaupierre, the grapes are selected and harvested at full maturity. It is a wine with aromas of flowers and spices with a dry character, but so rich and so fruity that it seems to touch the sweetness… which is only illusory. This great wine is only produced in the best years.
