Talent Cellars Nuf Sed Red 2018, Oregon

Winemaker Matt Newbry and his wife Janea attribute the inspiration behind Talent Cellars to the very soil their family has been farming in Talent, Oregon since the 1920’s. Nuf Sed Red’s vintage family pear box label and motto are in honor of their Grandfather who used the phrase “Nuf Sed” to describe the quality of fruit grown in Newbry Orchards. To honor their family’s heritage, they strive to craft wine worthy of the name by using premium grapes grown in the best vineyards of the region. Dazzling, dark ruby color. An alluring nose and palate of crushed cherries, ripe strawberries and wet stones, with lesser notes of sawdust, vanilla, elderberries and roses. The tannins are fine-grained with perfect balance and a delightfully satisfying finish. 2018 vintage – 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc. Aged 22 months in French oak, 50% new, 50% one filled and neutral barrels.
