Sleight of Hand Cellars ‘The Spellbinder’ Red Blend 2020, Columbia Valley, Washington

The 2020 Spellbinder is a gorgeous blend of 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Cabernet Franc, 8% Syrah, 12% Merlot and 9% Petit Verdot sourced from some of the most sought after vineyards in Washington State. It is dramatically aromatic, with classic Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc herb and earth notes framed by graphite overtones. It is a medium-bodied wine showing both red and dark fruit characteristics, including bing cherry, blackberry, and cassis, that finishes with soft tannins and bright acid. Sleight of Hand Cellars was launched in 2007 by Jerry and Sandy Solomon, along with Trey Busch, who had been making the wines for a small Walla Walla winery. Sleight of Hand Cellars has but one focus, and that is to craft exceptional wines from exceptional vineyards in the state of Washington.
