Red Newt Cellars Dry Riesling 2019, Finger Lakes, New York

Red Newt Cellars is located on the east side of Seneca Lake in the hamlet of Hector in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Red Newt Cellars was founded in 1998 by David and Debra Whiting. Wine production was started with the 1998 vintage. 2019 dry Riesling Potentially the coolest vintage since 2009, the 2019 vintage was saved by some seriously great weather in early Fall (September-October), which created ideal conditions for flavor ripening. This wine shows lovely fruit, backed by an acid backbone that livens up the wine and allows this vintage to be aged. Riesling is the flagship variety of the Finger Lakes and produced in this dry and elegant style refreshing, intriguing and satisfying.
