2021 vintage – 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot, 6% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc. This beautifully complex and classically styled wine is perfumed with aromas of sweet blackberries, violets, and vanilla that guide espresso, nutmeg, and cedar flavors on the palate. Silky tannins and ample, fresh acidity support the complex flavors, lending elegance to the long, expressive finish. “We highlight the beauty and complexity of our valley in this appellation-designated wine, a seamless blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with a splash of Petite Verdot to add color and structure, and Merlot to add a touch of softness and suppleness.” Sourced primarily from the S&J Vineyard in Napa’s Capell Valley and the Benjamin Vineyard located on the valley floor in the heart of Rutherford. Additional vineyard sources include neighboring Quarry Vineyard and Round Pond Estate, both in Rutherford, as well as Delouise and Shooting Star Vineyard located in Napa Valley. Aged 20 months in 33% new and 67% once and twice filled French oak barrels.
