Failla Chardonnay 2021, Sonoma Coast, California

100% Chardonnay from Olivet, Keefer Ranch and Flood Gate vineyards. Fruit is whole-cluster pressed into Concrete Egg (10%), Stainless Steel (20%), New French Oak Puncheon (10%) and Neutral French Oak (60%). Native yeasts are used for primary fermentation, and the wine naturally completes malolactic fermentation. The wine rests sur lie for 9 months before bottling. These wines are brooding, intense, elegant and deeply textural. They are wines of meditation and grace and will provide years of growing, fascinating complexity.
