Champagne Voirin Jumel Brut Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs A Cramant, 750ml, Cote des Blancs, France

The Voirin-Jumel household is typical of many vigneron relationships in France. Patrick Voirin’s family had vineyards in Grand Cru Cramant, and Valerie Jumel’s family owned vineyards in Chouilly. So the synthesis is a happy mix. They own 12 hectares of vines spanning the villages of Cramant, Avize, Oger, Mareuil-sur-Ay, Vertus, Oiry, Verneuil and Chouilly – and vines have an average age of 30 years. Locally produced, precise and delicate Champagnes. The domain in located in Cramant, in the Cote des Blancs. Voirin – Jumel has been a farm for 5 generations. This is a super-fresh and lively style, with a tensile quality that keeps everything focused and driven. On the nose, it speaks loudly of its grand cru origins, with bright citrus, florals and cool mineral notes. The palate is alleviated from its strong mineral grip by some nice mid-palate fruit intensity and light creaminess borrowed from Cramant. The finish is of medium length.
