2019 vintage – 60% Carignan, 30% Mourvèdre, 8% Grenache, and 2% Syrah. It’s a wine made in the tradition of the finest reds from Châteauneuf du Pape and combines a juicy freshness with a fascinating range of exotic flavors that make it especially attractive in its youth. “In our search for vineyards planted to the grape varieties traditionally associated with the Rhone Valley of France, we discovered several old stands of vines scattered throughout California. With an eye towards making a wine in this fashion at Neyers we purchased grapes from those vineyards we thought most likely to produce wines of complexity, style, and character. We named this wine Sage Canyon Rd. The Neyers Sage Canon Red is a blend of Mourvedre, Carignan, Grenache, and Syrah.
