Domaine Chanson Beaune Premier Cru Les Bressandes, Burgundy, France

Grape variety: Pinot Noir. Soil: Limestone and clay. Site: This 2 hectare vineyard is located on the upper part of the hill, facing east. This vineyard was owned in the XIIIth century by a Canon of Beaune, Jean Bressand, hence the name “Bressandes”. Vintage 2022: After a winter characterized by marked variations in temperature between January and February, spring started with mild temperatures. A sequence of cold weather in April was followed by warm temperatures in May but the lack of water was very noticeable and could not be compensated by the rainy storms of June. Summer was marked by several long heat waves and the storms of the end of August were most welcome. Tasting; Bright ruby color. Beautiful floral fragrances mixed with toasty notes and a hint of pepper. Well-balanced and well-structured. Tight and refined texture. Very refreshing fruit combination. Long and elegant finish.
