Crown Point Cabernet Sauvignon 2017, Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara, California

2017 vintage: 100% Estate grown & bottled. 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot. 2017 was a sunny and warm vintage characterized by some heat in early September that increased the speed of ripening and kicked off the harvest fo4r the 2017 vintage. The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the best blocks and the best clone of the Estate vineyard. Each block is fermented in a small oak or concrete fermenter. After 25-30 days of fermentation, each wine was drained into French oak barrels of which 50% were new and 50-% once used. The wine was raised in barrels for 26 months. The 2017 Crown Point Cabernet Sauvignon is a unique wine with outstanding intensity, complex notes of cherries, blackberries, floral, complex notes of cherries, blackberries, floral, and savory notes of olives, sage, and bay leaves.
