Crafted from one of the best winemaking teams in North America, Mt. Jefferson Cuvee aims to define the best of the Eola-Amity Hills in the Willamette Valley. This blend of Pinot Noir is predominately from the Cristom Estate vineyards, combined with exceptional fruit from esteemed neighbors in the Eola-Amity Hills. The Estate vineyards are planted across a diverse array of soil types, elevations and aspects, further shaped by coastal winds and volcanic geology, all adding to the character, fruit, and structure that give “Mt. Jeff” its well deserved reputation as one of the most stylistically-consistent Pinot Noir in the world. Winemaking: 44% whole clusters of hand-harvested and hand-sorted fruit. 100% native yeast fermentations. 1-3 punch downs daily in 1.5 – 7 ton open-top fermenters. Gently pressed in a pneumatic bladder press. Undergoes a full malolactic fermentation in barrel. Unfined and unfiltered. Aged 11 months in French cooperage, 20% new oak.
