Purchased by Maison Louis Jadot in 2001, this south to southeast-facing vineyard is situated on the slopes over the village of Villie Morgon. It covers 87.5 acres of the Morgon appellation, which constitutes one of the 10 crus of Beaujolais. After undergoing a 12-20 day vinification, 50% of the wine was aged 10 months in oak barrels, 15% new. “A benchmark of the appellation, this is a plush and velvety wine with deep black cherry notes supported by a pleasant earthiness with notes of leather, cocoa and anise.
