Yetti & The Kokonut B'rosé Red Wine 2021, South Australia

The world has given us many dynamic duos, Batman & Robin, Sonny & Cher, the adding of Milo to milk…enter Yetti & The Kokonut. David Geyer and Koen Janssens met in 2015 and set forth to experiment with grapes in exciting new ways, think of it as drinking outside of the box. With their feet in the vineyards and their tongues in their cheek, a new breed of wines were created. This is 50% Grenache and 50% Gewürztraminer vinified separately and blended together to make a wonderfully aromatic style of Rosé. The Gewurztraminer spent a couple of days on skins and the Grenache was fermented in used oak. A Barossa Valley gem. Strawberry, Grapefruit, Watermelon. It has a vibrant perfume of freshly picked raspberries and musk. It’s full flavoured with glassy acidity and fine grained tannins. It bursts out of the glass. A high-toned, exuberant and joyful wine style.
