Turnbull Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, Napa Valley, California

Turnbull has been rooted in the culture and history of the Napa Valley, making wine of exceptional quality since 1979. Estate-grown fruits are carefully tended to from the ground up through the winery. The grapes for this wine are sourced exclusively from Turnbull’s 4 estate vineyards throughout Oakville and Calistoga, reflecting some of the best terroir the Napa Valley has to offer. The sites give a true fingerprint of place and produce wines that are balanced, complex and exceptional in quality. The soil type in each of the vineyards contributes its individual character to the final Estate blend. Each vineyard block is vinified separately in small stainless steel tanks. The wine is barreled down into individual lots and aged in French oak barrels for 19 months. 2019 vintage – 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec. Notes of dusted blackberries, plum, and cherry lead to a back-drift of toast and fleeting tobacco. Supple creamy tannins widen the dark fruit mid palate, lending to a lifted and layered finish. This wine widens and rises in amplitude and velocity with elegance and balance, showcasing the incredible beauty of the 2019 vintage
