Trimbach Pinot Blanc 2019, Alsace, France

Pinot Blanc (locally known as Vrai Pinot) & Pinot Auxerrois – Gentle pneumatic presses are employed for optimum quality juice and then both Pinot varieties are vinified separately to dryness. Separate vinification is crucial to the success of the final blend. Pinot Blanc contributes a greener color and crisp acidity, Pinot Auxerrois, from the Auxerre region, adds a golden appearance with richer flavors, to give a fuller style. Fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks, with no malolactic fermentation. The grapes were sourced from the Trimbachs’ own vineyards and about 120 growers with whom the family has long term relationships, and vinified at the Trimbach winery in the town of Ribeauvillé, in the heart of Alsace.
