Artwork: John Duckworth | “I was in the right place at the right time – standing knee deep in the pluff mudd as a summer storm was rolling over opposite shore of the Stono River throwing huge lightning bolts and thunder, while the sun was still breaking through the clouds behind me to light up the marsh in the foreground.” Vineyard notes, 4-year old, red ferrus, loamy soils with small deposits of clay. Winemaker’s Tasting Notes: “Whole cluster pressed, stainless steel fermented and aged, indigenous primary and secondary fermentation. Pale straw in color. Rich floral nose of gardenia, lemon and lime citrus peel, and Cut grass. Background notes of paper whites, pine & petrol. Bright mouth-coating flavors of ripe pear, green apple & lime. Finished long wtih citrus peel, melon, and a touch of sallinity.
