Argentina is a land of passionate people where emotions come to life in cuisine, dance, literature, and painting. Mendoza is a magical, high-desert oasis, where the vineyards produce some of Argentina’s finest grapes. Malbec and Bonarda are Argentina’s most widely planted red grapes, so this wine is called ‘Patriota’, or ‘Patriot’, as Malbec (60%) and Bonarda (40%) have been at the core of Argentine winemaking since its foundation. Location of vineyards: Rivadavia, La Consulta, Vista Flores. Average altitude of the vineyard: 960 meters above sea level. Average age of vineyards: 43 years. Harvest method: Manual. Aged in 70% French oak (40% new), and 30% second use American oak. No clarification or filtration. The original artwork of this passionate dancing couple was created by Ernesto Catena’s close friend and artist, Ariel Mlynarzewicz.
