The signature red wine of Talley Vineyards, the Estate Pinot Noir has been bottled since the inaugural 1986 vintage and represents a pure expression of the Arroyo Grande Valley appellation. It was the first Pinot Noir produced in Coastal San Luuis Obispo County to demonstrate the potential of the area as a world class Pinot Noir winegrowing region. The 2016 vintage of Estate Pinot Noir is crimson-purple in hue and expressive of the distinctive character of the Arroyo Grande Valley which produces structured Pinot Noir with strong mineral notes. Aromas of raspberry pie, cherry cola, and rhubarb are complemented by soft sandalwood undertones. Produced entirely from estate grown Pinot Noir grapes from the Arroyo Grande Valley. 65% Rincon Vineyard and 35% Rosemary’s Vineyard. 3-5 day cold soak, fermented with native yeast in 1.5 ton fermenters. Aged 18 months in French oak barrels, 28% new.
