Soléna Grand Cuvée Pinot Noir 2020, Willamette Valley, Oregon

The 2019 Grande Cuvée Pinot noir is sourced from a collection of family-owned vineyards across the Willamette Valley. The wine begins with flowing aromas of baked cherries, fresh herbs and dried cedar. On the palete, this wine is full of fruit and spice driven flavors. Front and center you are greeted by a generous helping of warm noes of raspberry, cranberry and rose petals. After successful careers in the Oregon wine industry, the husband and wife team of Laurent Montalieu and Danielle Andrus Montalieu purchased an 80-acre estate to commemorate their marriage. In May 2002, they launched Soléna by releasing their first bottling and, shortly thereafter, opening a tasting room in Carlton. Soléna is the combination of the Spanish and French words Solana and Soleil, celebrating the sun and the moon, and the name that Laurent and Danielle gave to their daughter. 100% Pinot Noir. Willamette Valley AVA. Aged 9 months. 0% new oak. 18 day skin contact.
