The grapes for Silver Palm Cabernet Sauvignon come exclusively from Californias North Coast AVA, which includes Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino counties. The region is profoundly influenced by cool coastal air and fog from the Pacific Ocean, resulting in temperate vineyard microclimates ideal for the cultivation of beautiful tasting Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark ruby in color, with aromas of black currants, anise, tobacco,and dark chocolate. Flavors of blackberries, cherries, cocoa and toasty oak are complemented by round, soft tannins, leading to a silky, lingering finish. 2014 was an early growing season, with mild temperatures and no rain or heat extremes The season began early, with a warm and dry spring, and the weather stayed consistent all the way through to an early harvest. Warm days and cool nights allowed grapes to ripen slowly, producing amazing quality and moderate yields for the vintage.
