2014 vintage – 77% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot from Carneros. Aged 17 months in French & American oak, 10% new. The Rombauer philosophy of winemaking is exemplified by the vineyard selections and limited production. The cooler climate of the Carneros region allows Rombauer to produce a Merlot which is true to the varietal’s characteristics. The longer growing season of the region allows the fruit to reach maturity slowly, giving fruit which is soft and elegant, yet rich and full flavored.
