R&M Châteauneuf-du-Pape 'Omnia' Red 2016, Rhone Valley, France

“Omnia” is Latin for “all” or “everything”, as if all of Châteauneuf-du-Pape was in this wine, thanks to the inclusion of numerous grape varietials from across the appellation. “Omnia” is produced from 80% Grenache noir, 10% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre. The vinification was in whole clusters after a 7-day cold maceration, and was followed by 2 years aging in barrels from the Jupilles Forest on all the lees, with just occasional stirring. “Omnia” has never been racked, pumped, fined or filtered.
