Renegade Wine Company Rosé 2021, Columbia Valley, Washington

Renegade Wine Co. is a project from Trey Busch of Sleight of Hand Cellars, Walla Walla, Washington. At Renegade, Busch buys juice from other wineries to bottle wines at compelling price points. 2021 Rosé – 44% Grenache, 31% Mourvedre, 25% Syrah. The grapes were pressed directly after harvesting, and the juice was drained to stainless steel tanks, where the wine was fermented at a cool temperature to retain the fresh fruit characters of the final product. It has wonderful aromas of fresh pomegranates and citrus, some sweet red berries, and even rhubarb.
