Post Parade Cabernet Sauvignon Stretch Drive 2018, Napa Valley, California

“Post Parade refers to the moment when thoroughbred horses walk onto the racetrack, minutes before stepping into the starting gate. In our eyes, this is a rare moment of perfection, anticipation and hard work. We believe this transcendent moment translates into our shared winemaking and viticultural vision, without losing sight of our Kentucky roots.” Thomas Rivers Brown is one of Napa and Sonoma’s most accomplished winemakers having distinguished himself at Schrader, Outpost and, with his own label, Rivers Marie. He currently works on several high-end projects throughout Napa and Sonoma. “The 2018 Stretch Drive delivers a sleek, decadent Cabernet Sauvignon. In the glass the wine displays a dark purple-red hue. Aromatic notes suggest dark chocolate shavings, nutmeg, blackberry compote, and cedar bark. The viscous palate is layered with an array of notes suggesting plum, tobacco leaf, cocoa nib, clove, and cassis reduction. There is a pleasing acid profile that frames the wine. This wine is very enjoyable today and should age gracefully in the cellar for years to come.” – Thomas Rivers Brown, Winemaker. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, 78% new French oak. Aged 22 months.
