Poliziano was started in 1961 with an initial nucleus of 22 hectares. It has grown over the years to reach its present size of 120 hectares, all planted in vineyards. Fermentation and maceration take 18-22 days. Ages 14-16 months in wood. 2/3 in ‘barriques’ and ‘tonneaux’ of French Oak (80% second-use and 20% new), and 1/3 in traditional casks.
