Paplow Cellars is a boutique wine project begun in 2014. “Currently we are proud to offer a single wine; a GSM produced entirely from Boushey Vineyards fruit in Yakima Valley. This blend is is co-fermented, meaning the wine was entirely grown together, picked together, and aged together. It was aged for 18 months in neutral French oak.” Ben Paplow has been making wine in Woodinville since 2007. He began working at EFESTE during harvest, and his thirst for knowledge quickly elevated him to assistant winemaker in 2009. Since 2012 he has been working at Gorman Winery as an integral part of the winemaking team. The Paplow Cellars Boushey Vineyard GSM 2015 is a blend of 53% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 13% Mourvedre, 12% Cinsault, and 7% Viognier, all sourced from Boushey Vineyards- Washington’s premier source for Rhone style grapes. All five grapes are co-fermented, then aged for 19 months neutral French oak barrels. The result is a medium bodied wine with classic Cotes du Rhone styling.
