Bodegas Ostatu is a family winery located in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa region in the town of Samaniego. The vineyards, which are protected by the Sierra Cantabria range, are composed of chalk and clay. The average age of the vines is 50 years old. While Rioja may be known for its red wines, Ostatu dabbles in whites as well. 2021: White young wine made from Viura and Malvasía grapes which come from old vineyards (between 30 and 80 years old). A fresh and fruity wine with a noticeable personality. Primary aromas of flowers and white fruits and subtle herbal nuances. Enveloping and silky, with an intense acidity that increases the aftertaste. Very balanced, fresh, sweet, and with a hint of unctuousness. Great balance of flavors dominated by green apple and lemon, with hints of ripe apricots.
