Mending Wall Cabernet Sauvignon 2018, Napa Valley, California

The name Mending Wall comes from the Robert Frost poem about two neighbors who meet once a year to restore the boundary that separates them, the boundary that brings them together. Mending Wall is a new, innovative winery in the heart of Napa Valley, on the edge of St. Helena, at the foothills of Howell Mountain. Owned by three families in the wine industry, including winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, Outpost Winery (Frank Dotzler) and Pulido-Walker (Mark Pulido & Donna Walker). “The 2018 Mending Wall Napa Cabernet Sauvignon – A vintage that delivered a plentiful crop with ideal growing conditions from start to finish allows this wine’s natural tannin, acidity, and complexity to shine through. An upfront bouquet of bright red fruit is identifiable early, giving way to dark blue and blackberry on the pallet.
