Louis Laurent Rose d’Anjou AOC 2020, Loire Valley, France

Rose d’Anjou is a controlled appellation for the traditional (slightly sweet) Rose from the Anjou region of the Loire Valley. Wines are planted in shallow alluvion on schist, producing a fine, light wine. The wine grows on a plateau which dominates the Loire and reflects the sun. 100% Cabernet Franc. Winemaking: Cordon pruning. Harvest before over-ripeness, very short maceration on skins (12-16 hours). Pressing, racking must. Alcoholic fermentation. Temperature controlled and bottling. Tasting: Slightly orange and gold colored, it captures the nuances of dried apricots and hazelnuts. It develops its entire aroma and character and leaves a delightful slight taste of freshness on the palate.
