Former Indy car driver Randy Lewis, his wife Debbie and son Dennis are driven to create world class wines. This wine is named after Dennis’s first son ‘Alec’ (who is graduating from college this year). 2017 blend – 58% Syrah, 21% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon. It is complex and fruit-forward with opulent black cherry and a dash of sweet molasses. Sporting plush palate texture throughout, the wine finishes with delicioius chocolatey tannins. The grapes are picked at full ripeness and maturity. The wine is aged primarily in new French oak for 19 months, with some American oak as well, then bottled unfined and unfiltered.
