Lewis Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, Napa Valley, California

In 1992 Debbie and Randy Lewis established a small family winery in Napa Valley and were later joined by their son Dennis in 1999. This Cabernet is crafted from a collection of small hillside vineyards in Calistoga, Oak Knoll and Rutherford. The grapes are picked at full ripeness and maturity. Hand sorted and de-stemmed to small stainless steel tanks and open top fermenters, the wines are pressed off at dryness after 2-4 weeks on the skins. The wine is aged primarily in new French oak for 19 months then bottled unfined and unfiltered. “Our 2019 Napa Valley Cabernet is deliciously well-dressed with black currants, Godiva chocolate, kidskin gloves, and plenty of gravitas. Plush fruits and fresh character are deftly woven with mocha, cedar and tobacco spices all stitched with a supple hand and topped with tidy coat-tails.” – From the Winery
