The Breban company is one of the last family owned company producing artisanal sparkling wines in the South of France. The House of Breban Wines (‘Vins Breban’) has been producing and supplying a wide range of wines of varying styles and aromas to restaurants and retail distributors since 1952. The grand-father, Raymond, started elaborating sparkling wine in his garage in 1942. He has then decided to add a full range of wines from Provence. Jean-Jacques Breban took the reins from his father, Raymond, in 1968. Jean-Jacques’ son and daughter, Laurent and Julie, have joined their father in continuing with the family tradition of producing wines from this region. Today, they are famous in France and all over the world for the quality of the wines of Provence and for their premium hand crafted sparkling wines. 2021 vintage – 605 Grenache, 25% Syrah, 15% Cinsault. The vines of this cellar are mainly planted on more or less dry hillsides in full bright Provence of Jean Giono. Les Hauts Plateaux Rose is produced from traditional regional grapes, including Syrah, which gives the wine its structure and its color. Like the other wines classified from this area, Les Hauts Plateaux must meet a strict specifications: the wines must first be originated from a plot located on the departments of Alpes de Haute Provence, and its production must meet a maximum yield of 90 hectoliters per hectare. Elaboration: Manual sorting, destemmed fruit prior to crushing. Traditional vinification. Stainless steel fermentation. Tasting Notes: The Hauts Plateaux has a pale pink color. Its nose is a Muscat-like floral. On the palate, the wine is supple and easy to drink with aromas of tangy red fruits. Nice balance.
