Frenchtown, Walla Walla Valleys first settlement, was founded by French Canadians in the early 1800s. A thriving viticulture and wine making community was established in the Valley by the 1860s. This Frenchtown wine salutes these pioneers. With the highest quality in mind, this blend offers exceptional value for its price. 2018 composition: 35% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Malbec, 3% Petit Verdot, 16% Syrah, 10% Grenache, 3% Mourvèdre. Winemaking: Over 35 years of meticulous vineyard management and winemaking experience are fundamental to the quality of our wines and reputation for excellence. The wine was aged 9 months in primarily neutral oak barrels, then bottle aged 6 additional months prior to release. Tasting notes: Frenchtown shows complex, rich aromas with wild berries and black cherry, accented by savory dried sage and thyme, tobacco, underpinned by a sweet leather note. The generous, dark fruit flavors remain focused through a dry finish.
