This wine was produced exclusively from grapes grown on the Keenan Estate located in Napa Valley’s Spring Mountain District. This single vineyard Cabernet Franc comes from the highest elevation vineyard (approximately 2000′), aptly named the ‘Upper Bowl”. The fruit was hand-picked. After de-stemming, the must was inoculated with Montrachet yeast and fermented in a stainless steel tanks. The wine aged in French and American oak barrels for 20 months. “Made of 100% Cabernet Franc from the Spring Mountain District, the medium todeep garnet-purple colored 2016 Cabernet Franc offers up roses, cedar and forest floor with acore of raspberries, cherries, earth and mulberries plus nuances of pencil shavings and cinnamon. The palate is medium-bodied, soft and juicy with grainy tannins, finishing long and perfumed.
