Almost 300 acres surrounds the winery of Bodegas Juan Gil. The rest is scattered in small parcels. These parcels have been acquired from farmers next to the property, in the area called ‘Termino de Arriba’, a favored zone for the vine cultivation. The old, unirrigated vineyards are cultivated in quite an extreme climate. In favored areas of altitude, along with unique microclimates for soil, combined with a meticulous viticultural practices, all factor in positively influencing the final yield and level of maturation of the vines. The heterogeneity of the soils offers a great diversity of characteristics to the grapes from the different plots. Grapes are vinified separately and then assembled, obtaining wines with a wide range of nuances and organoleptic properties, resulting in very unique and distinctive wines. 2019 vintage: 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Monastrel, 10% Syrah. Aged 12 months in French and American oak. Tasting Notes: Deep purple in color, the wine shows luscious aromas of ripe black and red fruit combined with exotic spices. Juan Gil Red Blend is rich and voluptuous on the palate with incredible balance, finesse and power.
