Founded in 1853. Gilbert Perrier and his son, Gilles, are the fifth and sixth generation to make wine in this picturesque Alpine region. The domaine has slowly expanded over the generations and today they own sixty hectares. The Jacquère is produced on 1,050 hectares, or 53% of the 2,000 hectares of the Savoyard vineyard. This represents a production of 80,000 hectoliters of wine. Soil: Clay and limestone. Winemaking: Manual harvest, pneumatic pressing. Cold settling and thermo-regulated at 20 °. Winemaking: Manual harvest, pneumatic pressing, native yeasts and a temperature controlled fermentation at 20° c over a period of three weeks. No oak ageing. Tasting Notes: White gold colour with hints of green. Fresh almond, hawthorn and citrus fruit on the nose. A lively attack on the palate but rounds out with lovely mineral notes and orange zest. Excellent balance between fruit and acidity.
