Station Ten is the fire house in San Francisco from which Cecil De Loach retired.This 2017 Station Ten is a deep red velvet colored Zin blend displaying dense aromas of spicey-baked plum and light nutmeg. Flavors of succulent ripe blackberry and dark chocolate compliment this full bodied blend as it finishes with layers of dried currant and trace anise. 2017 blend – 40% Zinfandel, 36% Petite Sirah, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Carignane, 1% Alicante Bouschet. Fermented individually in a combination of European and American Oak for over 16 months. The Russian River Valley is an appellation that offers vintners many blending opportunities. Hook & Ladder’s oldest vineyards thrive in the cooler section of our land just west of Santa Rosa. Here the morning fog gently blankets our 100-year old vines and allows the pre-prohibition Zinfandel, Carignane and Alicante Bouschet to ripen to full maturity.
