Relying on the Bundschu Family’s 161+ years of Sonoma vineyard knowledge, the grapes for Mountain Cuvée are sourced from their Rhinefarm estate as well as fruit hand-selected from vineyards along the Mayacamas Mountain range. Tasting Notes: Lush layers of ripe berries with hints of toasted oak are displayed in this vibrant Bordeaux-inspired red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Juicy red fruit, black currants and tobacco come together in this medium-bodied wine. The silky tannins, hints of oak and cedar, and elegant structure finish deliver a real crowd-pleaser. Balanced and smooth, this wine can be enjoyed on its own or paired with wood-fired pizza, backyard burgers or myriad cuisines. 2019 vintage – 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 9% Syrah, 3% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc. Winemaking: 3-day cold soak. Extraction through twice daily pumpovers, tailored to each lot. Lees stirring for 3 months post-fermentation. Aged 10 months in French oak, 20% new.
