The Cotes du Rhone appellation applies to red, white and rose wines from vineyards throughout the Rhone Valley, comprising about 90% of the total production of the region. Quality and style can vary widely. By selecting and blending cuvees form over 100 top growers, the Guigals produce exceptional examples of all 3 wines. 2021 vintage: 60% Viognier, 15% Roussanne, 10% Marsanne, 8% Clairette, 5% Bourboulenc, 2% Grenache blanc. Average age of vines: 25 years. Vinification: Traditional vinification, control of alcoholic fermentation temperatures around 18 degrees C. The wine is aged in stainless steel vats. Tasting: Visual: Bright and clear golden yellow color. Olfactory: Wine on freshness marked by the very distinct aromatic expression of Viognier. Aromas of white flowers, apricot, acacias, and white peach. Taste: Fruity wine with lots of fat and richness.
