In the Upper Galilee – a wild mountainous region of forested slopes, gorges, stony ridges and running streams – lie the vineyards of Galil Mountain Winery, a joint venture between Kibbutz Yiron and the Golan Heights Winery. 2018 vintage – 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, , 7% Petit Verdot. The wine underwent 14-21 days of fermentation on skins at 30ºC (86ºF), full malolactic fermentation, and 16 months of aging in French oak barrels. With rich shades of bordeaux, the wine displays abundant aromas of berries, cherries and plum jam, on a seasoned bacgrouind of vanilla, clove and toasted oak. The well balanced, full-bodied wine has a long and classic finish.
